About the Role

We’re looking for Subject Matter Experts in Medicine and Biostatistics Chart Analysis to contribute advanced domain expertise to an AI training and evaluation project.

You’ll apply your knowledge of clinical and biostatistical data interpretation, quantitative reasoning, medical terminology, and scientific analysis to create high-quality evaluation tasks that help train and assess next-generation AI systems.

No prior AI experience is required. Your professional, academic, or research expertise is what matters.

What You’ll Do

• Interpret complex medical and biostatistical charts with professional accuracy, including Kaplan-Meier curves, forest plots, ROC curves, hazard-ratio plots, and similar clinical or epidemiological visualizations.

• Develop clear, objective, multi-step analytical questions based on complex visual data, requiring quantitative reasoning and interpretation beyond basic data extraction.

• Provide precise, unambiguous answers with comprehensive, step-by-step explanations covering calculations, statistical inferences, and clinical judgment where applicable.

• Apply medical and biostatistical terminology accurately, including units, scales, confidence intervals, p-values, and chart annotations.

• Design reasoning tasks focused on graphical interpretation, comparisons, calculations, trend analysis, and data interpolation while avoiding subjective or ambiguous wording.

• Collaborate remotely with project teams through written and verbal communication, incorporating feedback and maintaining consistent, high-quality deliverables.

• Produce verifiable reasoning assignments that directly support AI training and evaluation use cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree, including MD, MPH, PhD, or equivalent, in Medicine, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a closely related clinical or quantitative field.

• 2+ years of professional, academic, or research experience interpreting clinical trial data, survival analyses, or epidemiological visualizations.

• Advanced ability to interpret axes, legends, units, scales, confidence intervals, and statistical annotations in medical charts such as Kaplan-Meier curves, forest plots, and ROC curves.

• Ability to clearly explain analytical processes and provide clinical or biostatistical reasoning in high-quality written and spoken English.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and, ideally, a second language relevant to medical or research practice.

• Experience with technical documentation, scientific publishing, assessment or analytical task development, or structured data annotation for clinical, research, or AI-focused projects.

• Experience producing benchmark questions, technical reports, or data annotation tasks for medical, clinical research, or AI model development engagements.

Compensation & Engagement

This is a remote contractor opportunity with compensation provided at $25–$50/hour. The annualized equivalent above is calculated using 40 hours per week × 52 weeks.
