About the Role

We’re seeking experienced Medical Communications Managers to contribute their expertise to the development and evaluation of AI-assisted tools for medical communications and healthcare provider (HCP) engagement.

You’ll work with realistic medical communications materials and apply your expertise across scientific accuracy, regulatory considerations, messaging, source fidelity, and audience-appropriate communication. No prior AI experience is required—your medical communications expertise is the key qualification.

What You’ll Do

• Author and review realistic evaluation tasks based on medical education modules, advisory board summaries, scientific slide decks, HCP materials, and digital medical content.

• Assess AI-generated medical communications for scientific accuracy, fair balance, compliance considerations, and appropriate framing for HCP versus patient audiences.

• Evaluate messaging, tone, clarity, and visual presentation while ensuring complex scientific concepts are communicated accurately without oversimplification.

• Trace claims, infographics, and slide content to underlying scientific literature, clinical trial data, and clinical summaries to verify source fidelity.

• Provide structured written feedback explaining model strengths, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with project leads to develop benchmarks, quality rubrics, and evaluation frameworks for medical communications content.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Medical Communications, Medical Education (MedEd), or Medical Affairs within a specialized agency, biotech/pharma sponsor, or consultancy.

• Direct experience creating diverse medical communications deliverables, including scientific slide decks, advisory board summaries, medical education modules, and web/digital content.

• Strong understanding of medical affairs strategy, scientific platform alignment, and regulatory/compliance considerations for HCP and patient communications.

• Ability to assess visual and written content holistically, balancing data integrity with audience engagement.

• Exceptional written communication skills, including structured critique and editorial guidance.

• Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine, such as PhD, PharmD, MD, or MSc, or equivalent professional industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Broad therapeutic-area experience.

• Experience in oncology, neurology, or cardiology is highly desirable.

• Experience developing or reviewing evidence-based medical communications across multiple formats and audiences.
