About the Opportunity

We are seeking licensed veterinarians to contribute professional veterinary expertise to the evaluation and improvement of advanced artificial intelligence systems.

In this role, you will create realistic veterinary clinical scenarios and assess AI-generated responses for diagnostic accuracy, clinical reasoning, medication safety, and appropriate scope of practice. Your expertise will help establish high-quality standards for evaluating how AI systems handle real-world veterinary medicine.

This is a professional expert role—not an annotation or data-entry position.

What You’ll Do

• Develop realistic veterinary case scenarios across species, from clinical presentation through assessment and treatment planning.

• Write reference answers that demonstrate appropriate veterinary reasoning, including differential diagnosis, pharmacology, dosing considerations, and clinical decision-making.

• Evaluate AI-generated veterinary responses for diagnostic accuracy, clinical relevance, toxicity awareness, and patient safety.

• Identify inaccurate, fabricated, unsafe, or out-of-scope veterinary guidance and clearly explain the clinical reasoning behind your assessment.

• Apply your practical veterinary experience to help distinguish appropriate clinical guidance from responses that could create safety concerns.

Required Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree.

• Active, unencumbered veterinary license in the United States.

• At least 2 years of professional clinical practice.

• Demonstrated depth in small-animal, large-animal, or mixed veterinary practice.

• Strong understanding of veterinary pharmacology, medication safety, and dosing.

• Ability to communicate clinical reasoning clearly in written English.

• Ability to commit to at least 10 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is beneficial:

• Board certification or residency training, including ACVIM, ACVECC, or ACVS.

• Emergency and critical care caseload experience.

• Exotic animal medicine.

• Equine medicine.

• Production-animal medicine.

Work Arrangement

• Fully remote.

• Fully asynchronous.

• No fixed schedule or maximum weekly hours.

• Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.

• Hours can be scaled up or down based on your availability and project needs.

• No on-call responsibilities or emergency clinical work.
